Diamond Hall Coleraine wins prestigious Wood Award 2011

Congratulations to everyone involved in the Diamond Hall UUC project, who were announced yesterday as the winners of a Wood Award.
As the main contractor on the refurbishment of Diamond Hall at University of Ulster Coleraine, we, Geda Construction, are delighted to say they are the 2011 winner of the Conservation and Restoration section of the Wood Awards in England. The Wood Awards is the UK’s premier architecture and furniture competition celebrating excellence in design in wood. The Wood Awards was launched forty years ago this year, in 1971, as the Carpenters’ Award. The aim of the Wood Awards is to recognise, encourage and promote outstanding design, craftsmanship and installation in wood, the world’s most naturally sustainable material.
