| Project Description | The work involves the construction of a new waste amenity site to service the needs of waste / storage for the south of the Larne Borough. The household recycling centre / transfer station will provide adequate sorting for incoming wastes both to promote recycling and reduce the amount of waste destined for landfill. The scheme also includes drainage, surfacing and landscaping work. Detailed work comprises: · Site clearance and levelling · Removal of a series of existing trees and vegetation · Removal of one nr existing telegraph pole · Construction of concrete yard and kerbing · Construction of asphalt area · Construction of control building · Construction of reinforced concrete retaining walls · Installation of weighbridge · Construction of foul and storm drainage lines and manhole chambers and associated works · Construction of various ducting lines and chambers · Installation of high palisade fencing · Construction of crash barriers · Installation of mechanical and electrical appliances · Painting of white lines and erection of signage |
