| Contract Value | £0.4m |
| Contract Duration | May ’10 – July ’10 |
| Project Description | Refurbishment and renovation of the existing single storey NI Water Industrial Hub Building at the Bretland House complex, off Duncrue Street. The works include internal alterations (including demolitions and breaking out of new openings), replacement of existing windows and rooflights, provision of additional toilet facilities, rewiring, new lighting, alterations to existing heating system, provision of new data trunking and dabbling and general improvements to the current facilities. Temporary accommodation and welfare facilities were also provided for NIW staff that are currently occupying the building. As the site remained operational during the extent of the works our works compound was restricted and necessitated a site traffic management plan to coordinate deliveries. As main contractor Geda identified and appointed a team of competent and quality assured sub contractors, including M&E sub contractors, to deliver the works. Through the development of a site specific Contract Plan, realistic delivery programme and constant progress monitoring the project was delivered on time and within budget. A detailed Health and Safety plan had to be devised to protect and maintain access along the building frontage and to ensure minimal disruption to the staff car park. |
