On this job Geda managed to efficiently reduce the contract period of one year to 10 months. While the NI Fire Service had planned to open in Easter 2009, they were able to be operational on 5th January 2009. Chief Fire Officer Colin Lammey described as "first class" the co-operation between NIFRS, Geda and Knox and Clayton (the architects).
