| The works involved the construction of a new 2.3m diameter CSO chamber, associated pipelines and replacing adjacent water mains. This was all be carried out under a traffic management scheme on a busy side street in the centre of Derry. | |
| Lawrence Hill Storm Water Separation | |
| The works involved laying a 600mm diameter sewer along Strand Road which is a main arterial route into and out of Derry. Liaison with all stakeholders was required together with a robust traffic management plan to deal with ‘tidal’ traffic flows. Pipes were laid at depths of up to 5.0m with numerous chambers and manholes leading to a new outfall complete with tideflex valve at the Foyle river. | |
| Clarendon Street CSO | |
| The works involved construction of an in-situ concrete CSO chamber, complete with 6mm screening and some associated pipework. Due to the restricted nature of the site a sheet piled cofferdam had to be installed with care taken not to cause any damage to neighbouring properties. Again a traffic management scheme was put in place to deal with restricted traffic flow on a busy commercial street in Derry. |
